Meeting Logistics Founder and CEO, Cathy Mullen, reflects on her experience in Maui, Hawaii:
I stayed at the Wailea Beach Marriott Resort & Spa on a recent trip to Maui. Wailea is beautiful and the hotel is fantastic for meetings and vacations. The property offers privacy and is not crowded; a really great open and inviting hotel. The guest room views are spectacular; the entire property is well equipped and offers excellent meeting space and service with a smile.
For dining I would check out Tommy Bahamas and Monkeypod Kitchen for dinner. For fun on the water, the best catamaran charter out there is Kai Kanani. It is the only cat on the island who can board passenger's right from the beach at Makena Beach & Golf Resort. Other attractions include Haleakala and the Road to Hana.
We drove to Hana, hiked, visited the seven sacred pools and then took the back road (Hwy 31) on our return. Hwy 31 is a little rough and narrow at points but well worth the views. You drive through lush jungle, past ranches and dry landscape terrain with views of Haleakala and whales leaping and see the grand sunset over the Pacific Ocean.
