Whether you are planning a corporate meeting, social event, family gathering or even a romantic getaway, you should consider the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, located just 31 miles from the Jacksonville International Airport. The Inn offers 250 rooms and suites and 25,000 feet of meeting space.
MTG Logistics Founder and President Cathy Mullen shares her experience at Ponte Vedra Inn and Club:
After a warm personalized welcome and check-in, I was escorted to my room in the Peyton House a beautifully well-appointed oceanfront room, that was newly decorated, spacious, and absolutely breath-taking. I loved the set-up of the room. It included a well-appointed kitchenette (which was very handy), a king-sized bed, a desk, sitting area and private balcony. The bathroom was spacious with a tub, separate shower and separate toilet.
Ponte Vedra offers 2 signature 18 hole golf courses and provides for golfers of all skill levels; which have received glowing reviews. The courses are well groomed and very scenic.
The whole area of Ponte Vedra is just beautiful and this is the place to stay when you go to visit. The Ponte Vedra Inn & Club's spa is an abundant 30,000 square feet of relaxation. For group events, the 22 treatment rooms, spa café, sauna, jacuzzi, pools and the facility in general provides everything you could possibly need.
The food and service were excellent at every dining outlet on the property. I enjoyed many dining options from casual grill style to ocean view fine dining at the Seahorse Grille. I also got out and enjoyed off-property dining options experiencing dinner on the deck at Aqua Grill and the lovely cuisine and atmosphere at Restaurant Medure. For something more casual, JAX beach is a great place to rent a bike and pick up a slice at Joseph's Pizza. Additional great dining options include North Beach Fishcamp, Azurea at One ocean, Flying Iguana, Ocean 60,Marker 32 and Ragtime Tavern.
Back at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club, the expansive fitness center came in handy to burn a few of the gained calories while enjoying the local fair. There is also great fishing in the Jacksonville area. Plan ahead and charter a captain to take you out from Mayport Marina. You can easily head out to the crystal blue ocean waters from the St. Johns river inlet. Fish are teaming in the local waters. It didn't take long to find action and observe pods of dolphin swimming the beautiful waters!
My visit was over the Fourth of July holiday and I was lucky enough to receive an invitation to the Red, White & Boom event held at the Renaissance World Golf Village Resort in St Augustine on July 3rd. The "VIP" party included open bar and buffet dinner and perfect views of the fantastic fireworks show. We had fun playing bean bag toss and closed the night with a towering game of Jenga. On the 4th of July, staying put at the Ponte Vedra Inn & Club was the thing to do. Activities, fun and food were abundant and when evening arrived the fireworks up and down the beach were just amazing. The beach at Ponte Vedra comes alive over this holiday weekend with families and fun for all ages. I just sat on the beach and took in the spectacular fireworks from every direction...it was magical!
